Description
The vestibular system is the control center for regulating and maintaining balance, coordination and overall sense of wellbeing. It relies on information coming from the eyes, the middle ear, and the proprioceptive input from joints and muscles. We will explain the anatomical connections of the system from cerebellum to cerebrum and demonstrate clinical tests you can do to localize where disturbances in the system may occur. In the practical we will demonstrate low-tech methods of diagnosis and treatment that you can use in your office as well as rehabilitative exercises you can prescribe to your patients to perform at home.
